Turn the tables. Tell the AD that your “other half” is on the waiting list for an engagement ring and how much time they stay on that list will be determined by how much time you wait on the Rolex list.

I bought a lovely ring for a normal cost from my AD. Got a BLRO 8 days later as that was what I asked for.

You absolutely do not have to spend massive amounts to get watches.

LOL, I wished someone told me this before I got married. Instead of saying, "congrats, when's the big day?"

I would do that.

What's the worst case scenario? Sorry I can't do that.

Haha. Brilliant.

Sad thing is, I’d wager they’ll be plenty of people that actually did exactly this.

I’ll bet the ex-wife kept the Rolex as well!

Worst they can say is no…. They’re going to say no without the ring so you might as well try!

Worth a try. I once asked my SA, If we buy my engagement ring here, will I get my Rolex faster? He said, “No, Rolex does not want us to make the sale of their watches contingent on other jewelry purchases from our store.” I figured that was the official policy, but I think buying my ring there may have helped. Hard to say, for sure. He always said he’d get me my OP, and so he did.

That sounds like a sweet idea! it doesn't hurt to ask if they can bundle the ring with the watch, it might depend on the stores policy.

Sure a lot of people have been doing this the last 3 or 4 years. The markup on engagement rings is insane they are making a lot of money off you.

Yes. If I was in the market for jewelery, I would ask for a bundle deal with a nice watch. It's the perfect opportunity and it doesn't hurt to ask. If.no luck, try with as many jewelers in your area as possible.
