They have tried to purchase for other customers and Rolex refuses the order.

They did say they would be able to get a Oyster Bracelet if I wanted to purchase it.

(Your experience may vary...)

This changed yesterday. Rolex is now stating blatantly that you can order each bracelet. Hodinkee podcast just cleared this up today. Ask in a couple weeks. Or call RSC direct in a few weeks when the network is up to speed

Which BLNR? “New” or “Old”

Rolex made W&W attendees aware that you can now order either from now on

If I was buying today I would go for the newer one but I certainly wouldn't go through the effort and cost of upgrading my 116710 as I am more than happy with it.

if jubliee bracelet is not a factor for future (new one you have the option to add jubliee bracelet whenever you want) then I wouldnt think too much and get the one where you are getting a better deal (keeping in mind year etc).

If the price difference is not much then newer is the better option in my mind (higher power reserve, slightly more refined etc).

I agree! It's the 11 series movement for me.

New one. Updated movement and longer power reserve. And as noted, you can switch bracelets

The 12 because a GMT to me belongs on a jubilee.

Yes, I heard Ben Clymer state this on Hodinkee Radio as well. I’ve been meaning to post about it on TRF.

Ben was adamant (and surprised) but said Rolex
clearly stated they were making oyster/jubilee bracelets available for purchase.

Honestly, whichever one I can get for less, provided they're in the same minty condition.

Well dang... I just purchased a Batgirl and paid extra over the Batman...

Oh well. At least I don't feel as bad as people that paid $135,000 for a Tesla X last summer just to see its price drop to $80,000 by fall. I will still love my watch and pick up the Oyster sometime - maybe...

Anyone know what an Oyster for the 126710 would cost from the AD? Or... Maybe a bunch of Batman 12 series owners will upgrade to the Jubilee and sell their Oysters.... (One can only hope.)
