Quite disappointing W&W releases, what mid year release can make rolex fans happier?

The Youtube channel influencers are the most upset because these releases are not going to generate a whole lot of interest for them to keep making content which they have to do to survive....ah what a shame bunch of whiners.

Sadly whilst l totally agree seems Rolex is trying to push up market so these highly desired base models go against the group thinking as they undermine the higher priced models in terms of what they can sell them for. (Not what they go for on the grey market)

They must make a lot more margin on a Daytona than they ever could on a OP.

Their only way around is to have a OP base and deluxe range to differentiate the perceived value of both instead of lumping them all in the same price bracket

Over the past several years Rolex release events have been underwhelming to me. In the last 5 years especially I don't think there is a single watch where I ran to call my AD.

It also could be that Rolex wisely desires to take 2024 as a year to fill the backlog of popular models. Those of you still waiting may be getting the call at some point during 2024


This, in turn, may reduce the secondary market's demand, since there is a known flow of availability at Rolex ADs. We are already seeing how this benefits timepiece enthusiasts as the secondary (Grey) prices are coming down.

And this, in turn, will help stabilize the market.
