I really wish I knew how Michael as doing. I was still just a younger kid when Senna died, and Schumi was the first dominate F1 driver I really remember getting to watch a good amount.

The Royal Oak is going to destroy that estimate, I could see triple or more for it.

Same here. Such an exciting time for Ferrari and the Tifosi. Incredible watches too. Would love to own any of these pieces.

Are both the Daytona and the AP 1 of 1? I would imagine the AP alone is going to sell for more than $400k

Such a shame what happened to him, a hero when I was growing up, such a quality and ruthless driver ,, I hope it sells for a small fortune for him and his family ..

Amazing watches.

I hope a fellow F1 driver buys them and wears them.

They belong on a racers wrist and not in a museum or with some rich fanboy.

Poor guy..He spent an entire career racing cars at over 300km/h and then bumps his head skiing resulting in permanent brain damage.

I was watching the Italian GP's live when A Senna and G Berger crashed in the same corner,I remember thinking that Senna would probably walk away with minor injuries and that Berger may have been killed due to fire but it was the total opposite.

Yep, he was a machine. As you say, a ruthless driver. Having him as a competitor must have been hell.

Always loved Schumacher! He really got me going in F1 and I always loved watching him drive. Really sad how life turned out for him.

Side note on the auction. I wish Christie’s would’ve separated the Schumacher watches from the rest on their site. I would’ve been cool to see the Schumacher specifics instead of going through a lot of 186 watches. I’m sure they are all out of my range regardless, but it would’ve been neat to see the specific ones.

As a Brazilian growing up watching Senna, it still hurts…. RIP.

Yes his story really is a tragic one unfortunately. That said, I think his PN daytona is going to end up selling for a lot more than $440k

Michael Schumacher’s Watches Up for Auction

I echo most peoples sentiments here.
Wishing him and his family the best. I too, would rather see these watches in a museum of some
sort but I’m sure his medical and care-taking expenses are thru the roof so I don’t begrudge the family one bit.

I hope they double the estimates.

Schumacher was the first athlete to earn over a billion dollars during his career, so it has to be presumed this sale is to allow his fans a chance to own something from his time as a driver and not so much for medical costs. But I do hope the sales generate lots of $$, and I wish he and his family all the best. Michael was by far and away my favorite driver from that era.

Probably not a good sign if the family is putting his watches up for sale imo... very sad indeed. Up there with Fangio and Senna as one of the very best :(

His family have kept it very private for over 10 years.

I used to hate him as a driver, being a British F1 fan and supporting Hill and Coulthard, but what an amazing driver he was.

I hope he is as well as can be.

Fantastic watches.
