That is awful why not drop a ball in it too - what a pointless idea actually Bamford would take that design up

John Mayer's Daytona mod:

I love all the great idea's.
I just picked up a 116610 LV and i was thinking for the first mod to get a GMT green date wheel. I heard the cyclops already comes with AR stock. Is this true? Also i was thinking of a Thomas Preik glass back. Now i see that the rotor on the Daytona come engraved in red Daytona. I'm pretty sure the rotor on the Hulk is not engraved at all. I would also like to purchase a rotor disc and have it engraved with Submariner in green. That way it adds a little colour to the reverse side. Maybe that's pushing it? I'm not even sure if i can order a rotor wheel from rolex to begin with? Thanks for all the pointer too. Man so much help on this site. |

Well you need a dial obviously and a Rolex trained watchmaker ,the conversion about 15minutes.

I have spent the last 2 days reading this thread from start to finish and I have come to the following conclusions:
1. All of the TRF posters have shown incredible creativity in modifying their watches to be what they want them to be. 2. Even the watches that used "after market" parts show this same creativity. Whether for cost concerns or lack of parts availability, I respect these watches for what they are... 3. Without a doubt, this is one of the most popular threads on the website. This tells me, that this phenomena is not going away anytime soon. I really wish that somewhere in Switzerland is a young Rolex designer lurking here. A lot of these "ideas" are awesome enough to become "official" Rolex products. But, until that happens, keep these "mods" coming guys !!! Be safe. |

I knew that we weren't the only ones to think this stuff was cool.
This guy makes a living selling "personalized" Rolexes and other brands. Here is a short interview on his business: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YIprVOzr0mY Be safe. |

I'm glad to see that there's no stigma attached to personalizing your Rolex. I just bought my first recently and I'd like to keep it stock, but for my second I'm looking for an older one that's been abused so I can have it modded without feeling too bad about it. So I'm always trolling the for sale places on watch forums looking for poor condition Rolexes that I customize. This thread has given me some great ideas. I particularly like the red date wheels and I know I'll be getting one as soon as I find the right watch. Thanks for everyone's creativity!
P.S. If anyone knows a good place to get a "well loved" Rolex, I'm all ears. |
