First service! AD?

Hi! It’s time for my Air King 11200 (i think that’s right ) to get a service , it’s at the 7 year mark and the power reserve doesn’t last as long as it should.

should i have the service done privately or at an AD? how much
should i expect to spend in either case?

I bought the Air King here on the forums, not at an AD. My closest AD is a couple hour drive away. I like the watch and intend to keep it long term.

TIA!

Call RSC and they'll send you a box and instructions. Cut out the middle man.

thanks! I somehow did not even consider this was an option, knowing that I could not purchase a watch directly from Rolex...

Your local AD may have an in-house watchmaker which should be cheaper & faster. Nothing wrong with the RSC route as well.

I just had my 16610lv serviced for the first time by Rik Dietel at Time Care INC. He did a fantastic job and charged much me $150 less than RSC and provides a 2 year warranty. I highly recommend him.

RSC for the first one just to experience it. Then you can try someone else if you want. I've done both. Liked both.

Call the Rolex Service Center in Dallas and say you want a shipping kit to send your watch to them for a movement service. Don't mess with an AD. If you do, they have all say concerning your watch as the RSC will communicate with them. Send it off to Dallas yourself, a better scenario.

I’ll give them a call. What should I expect to pay, about $500?

I believe they pay shipping back to customer. Not sure about customer to RSC. Maybe someone can chime it about this.

Is it still keeping good time? If so, I would hold out before sending it in for service, but I wear my watch every day so the power reserve isn’t as much of a deal to me.
