About to buy a 14270 Explorer. Need Help
Hello everybody,
First post here and on the seek of my first Rolex. Since last year I started looking into watches and got some nice pieces, but not yet a Rolex. I decided to make the jump for my mariage and my search is now focused on a seller (not a dealer) that I don't know, but is 100% honest, clear and "trustable" with all my requests, questions, photos etc... I'm 300km from the watch and I'm planning on going this weekend. It comes to: 14270 S series from 1994 with a 78360 bracelet with 558B el with a Z1 clasp code, with lug holes and tritium dial. My only concerns are the font and the coronet that seems a little different from others 14270, but not 100% sure if there were any variation during 90s. The "S" looks like right tilted and the "O" from explorer not aligned. Should I be worried? The coronet (at least on these pictures) looks like it's touching the 12hr triangle. Again something to worry or just over paranoia? Thank you very much and I'm hoping to make the good decision based on your help. Off course if I get it, I'll post it here and share/ learn with all. |
