Oh what the heck....
I am feeling pretty proud of myself, but will take your guys support to finish a project. Some of you might have seen me yell at Gerardo for his incredible meal threads telling him I'm on a diet and to stop the torture. Truth be told, I REALLY AM on a diet. I have met my goal (so far) when I weighed myself yesterday (first of the month). I have lost exactly 21 pounds in the last seven months, I am (almost) down to what I weighed in college. Of course, in college I was on an athletic scholarship and solid muscle, not quite in the same shape, ... So my goal is another ten pounds; I believe that will be a good weight for me. I have consistently lost three pounds a month, my goal was closer to five, at least four, but I'll take success even if it's not as much as I hoped. It has not been easy But I am proud nonetheless and hope to reach the goaled weight by the new year.
It's REALLY REALLY hard.... Those of you that have dieted know what I am talking about. Frustrating when you diligantly follow the plan, DON'T cheat, and still barely get the results you are looking for, but, only thing I can do is keep going. Anyone else have words of encouragement? Any success stories? I'd love to hear how you guys set diet goals and met them. I tell you what, I feel better already with that 20 pounds gone, my hiking is easier, BP dropped significantly, now, I just need the encouragement to keep going. |
