Memorial Day Weekend 2005
Since Daren started a thread about last year's Memorial Day weekend, let's do one about this year's. What is everyone doing this weekend.
We are down at our place in Boca Raton for a long weekend. Arrived Wednesday night and we leave Tuesday afternoon. After a fierce set of thunderstorms on Thursday, the weather has been great so far (and the predictions are for more of the same for the rest of the holiday weekend). Today, we will likely sit on the beach for an hour or so this morning, relaxing and reading. Tonight we are taking in a Marlins game at Dolphins Stadium. Other than that, it will be pretty much lazing around and relaxing. I hope everyone has a safe, relaxing and enjoyable holiday. |

Golf pro = no holidays... but when people don't work they play golf and take lessons, so I make out better for it. I will take a weeks vacation in about a week and a half so I will be resting soon enough.

I'm taking a weekend break in Bahrain, staying Wednesday and Thursday nights. I'll be travelling back over the Causeway some time on Friday afternoon. If you should miss me (some hopes) that's where I'll be.

Well folks we saddled up yesterday at the VFW and traveld as a group about 15 miles to the Quantico National Cemetary where we placed flags on all our past falling members. Was a solemn moment for all of us as we paid our respect to fallen comrardes. Today is the big day here in the Washington D.C. Metro area
http://www.pratsfamily.com/lola/html...hunder2004.htm sample of last year (can you imagine 400,000 motorcycles all in one place) and should be more this year! I don't know if you can see what watch is on my wrist it's my SD, it seems to have held up nicely during the days events. Today however, will be the test to see if it can with stand the contunious assult of over 400,000 motorcycle engines rev'ing to a continous substained roar. It makes your ears tickle and you can't stop it, I will be putting in ear plugs this year! |

My hat's off to you, Earl. I've seen parts of this parade in the past and it's very impressive. But I have to tell you, I'm glad I'm sitting on the beach today where it is quiet and the only noise is the sound of the surf gently lapping against the shore.
