Joined the AP family!

I had been wanting to add an AP for a while and after my last Rolex pickup late last year, I decided that it was finally time to get serious about it (I already spend way too much time in the AP forum anyways ). So this past Tuesday, while sitting in a work training, I got the text from the SA I had been working with saying that the watch I wanted was available, 15510st silver dial. Fortunately I travel for work often and already had a trip planned to SoCal and got to pickup my watch in person on Friday.

First impressions, that dial is ! I know blue and green get the most love but the way the light plays on the silver dial is amazing. I’d argue that is the most dynamic of all the colors. The bracelet is a lot more industrial feeling than I was expecting (in a good way) and love seeing the light play off each link as I rotate the watch. I was a little nervous about the 41mm size since RO wear large, but it fits my wrist perfectly. Functional jewelry!

Completely agree, the silvery white dial is the most dynamic of them all. Excellent choice for a first piece, AND it is a perfect size for your wrist.

Sweet. Looks great.
That was always the one I was going to get when I would someday buy an AP

It was such a great surprise! The funny part is that I was in a leadership training and I got called out for being on my phone and not engaged in the group exercise.

Congrats teddy! I remember I flew down to SCP from SF for my first AP a few years ago.

Which boutique is that btw? Doesn’t look like SCP or BH. Is that the house?

Yes, it’s the AP House in West Hollywood. Really cool space! Would definitely suggest making an appointment to stop by if you’re ever in the area. They have an onsite watchmaker that does classes that I’m looking forward to experiencing.

I had visited the SCP boutique a few times whenever I was in town, but after the last SA I was working with left I decided to visit the new AP House in LA this past January. They had all my previous boutique visits logged in their CRM, so all in all, about 18 months.

I'm in the same exact boat with SCP . My very first visit was Dec of 2022. My plan is to switch over to the AP house later this year if my new SA still can't allocate a Grey dial RO for me. Thanks for your reply.

Fully agree on the silver dial - it is the most dynamic.

Congratulations.

No one does Silver or White dials quite like AP. Love my ROC 50th with the same Silver dial too.

Enjoy o/p.

Oh cool! Yea I went to the house last year when it first opened. Didn’t recognize from your photo that this was the House lol

What classes are they planning to teach out of the La house? Similar to the masterclass in Le Brassus and Singapore? Or similar to the AP Lab in Tokyo?
