Well either the universal or the zenith was the question, I would try to get more funds and find something else, IMO hard to find a decent watch for that price, a few decent sport watches, Tag for example but other than that don't see

I suspect that the OP is talking about vintage, you can definitely get a nice vintage Universal Geneve or Zenith for 1600 bucks.

Ahh..Got it now. OP is wanting our thoughts between him getting a $500 Universal vs a $1600 Zenith...honestly I have little experience on either brand
