Try to make a deal for both. If it can't be done, go for the Pepsi. It still depends on the price of the watches, it might be better to walk away as friends.

I assume that since you're referring to yourself as "extremely lucky," you're getting these at retail or below market prices? I'd pick the Pepsi, but not if the price is $20k or whatever its trading for nowadays.

Personally I’d pick the 124060, it would be the perfect foil to your DJ. I adore the look of the Pepsi but find it a little ‘colourful’ for everyday wear.

Given what you are saying definitely the BLRO. You can easily daily wear the watch and go swimming diving with it!

I seem to be in the minority but if you love the water the 124060 is the one. Also if by chance you could use a more under the radar look depending on where assignments take you, again the sub is the winner and can also be worn perfectly on a nato strap.

I would get the GMT Master but I can't possibly tell you which one you like more. Like you, I work in multiple time zones and travel through time zones but regardless of this I just like the Pepsi more. My personal preference is the Jubilee bracelet for wearing comfort and if I wanted to add a Sub Date I would get a good 116610LV.

If you really don't have a preference, then go BLRO.

Price is an indicator of what I would do. The BLRO would be the one if I could make it work. One of the most desirable watches right now and for good reason. The Subs are great and I would take the No Date over the Green Bezel but there is no wrong choice between those two. If your friend is asking retail for the watches see if you can get at least two of the three and maybe all three. Good luck and let us know what he is charging and what you do.

Wow - thank you for the feedback! I wasn't expecting to get so many opinions and thoughts but I'm very glad to have some words from you all.
Regarding price, I spoke with him last night and got an idea of what he's thinking. Admittedly, I was so excited about the opportunity that I said I'd take one off his hands without even asking about prices, but this is where we landed: 124060 - $8K 126610LV - $11.5K 126710BLRO - $12.5K To me, even though they're all a touch beyond MSRP, it's beyond reasonable given the current market. I've always desired a Sub but it seems like picking up the BLRO makes more sense within the context of this scenario. We're planning to meet up either Friday or sometime this weekend so I can handle everything in person and make a final decision. I'll be sure to update this thread with pictures once I have something new on my wrist. |

Congratulations on whatever you decide. You can’t go wrong with any of the three at those prices. What a great opportunity you have in front of you. Looking forward to seeing what you end up with this weekend. Best of luck :) |

I'll go against the grain and say Sub no date. Have never truly loved the 6-digit "Pepsi" (I just can't bring myself to agree with the color tones of blue and red ceramic).
