I followed your thread about the sub closely. So happy you got the BLNR. I have the sub and BLNR and love them both. Also, great job with your wording of your review. It came across disappointed rather than entitled and bitter. Is the sales rep who made the mistake still with them and was he or she there when you got your BLNR and was an apology given to you? Regardless, move onward with two kick ass watches and enjoy the hell out of them!

Very nice, its the only SS I am on a wait list for, can't wait to get my hands on mine after 300 people have fondled it the month before.

The intent of my review was truly cathartic expecting nothing in return. I also wanted to word it in a way where people would trust and believe. Extreme complaining or bitterness typically makes me want to discount a person's review.

The sales person still works at the AD but was not present during the purchase. The store manager directed me towards a new sales person who I immediately clicked with since he's a watch fanatic.

While the watch was being sized, we chatted about different Tudors and I got to try on a bunch of watches.

Congratulations.

After buying the BLNR, did you update the review to a more favourable one?

I think that must have been the motivation for the manager to call you because these reviews mean a lot to me AD / owner. The managers performance review or bonus might even be tide to the Google review.

I amended my review stating the manager reached out to me and is working to make it right. My intention was to give him some skin in the game to deliver the watch.

He instead preferred I delete the review entirely and he will deliver the next watch to me. I did so, with the expectation I would receive the next watch. The store manager delivered.

Congrats on your great looking Batman GMT. Nice shade of blue.

I suspect the AD was just trying to save face over the Sub issue.

I assume your review was on Google which seems to get the attention of Vendors who care about their public image. I also assume you agreed to remove bad review after BLNR was provided. A bit of further insight on the dynamics of a wait list (being a squeaky wheel).

Enjoy and wear your watch in good health. Cheers!

I hope I don't need to write a negative review fro a GMT, but all if fair in this game. I'm $14k into watches and jewelry with my AD at this point.

As my initial post stated, I'm not sure what the morale of the story is. I don't think this is something you could replicate, as I'm sure there are a host of other factors.

After the review, I store manager called me directly and I picked up first ring and we spoke for 25-30 minutes. I was not expecting anything in return so I gave him how I honestly felt. I sympathized with their challenge of satisfyingly so many potential buyers.

At the same time I expressed my disappointment in my SA, especially since I had a great experience buying my Wife's engagement ring.

I pushed hard on this topic repeatedly - when I was inquiring about a Sub everyone said flat out no shot, the wait will be 1 year minimum. My SA said he would be able to make it happen by my Birthday and that was the biggest frustration, if you couldn't make it happen I understand just tell me upfront.

Congratulations, that’s a beauty! If you also want the jubilee I say buy it ASAP, the ability to buy one comes and goes quickly! At least it did for me.
I’m off to write a review about my AD now...

Congrats. IMO, the batman color scheme far better matches most attire than the pepsi with red/black. Most of my suits I wear for formal events are usually black and navy blue. Pepsi is just internet hypetrain....lol.

Yep I already reached out and asked for a price and timing. I feel like I have some forward momentum with this AD right now so why not strike before it goes away.

Congrats OP, great watch, looks sharp, and solid resolution.

I had a similar experience of a different flavor back in 2018, where there was a miscommunication between me, my rep and the owner at Alvin Goldfarb in Seattle, and it was minor in the grand scheme of things. Steven himself called to make things right, and offered my choice of the the 126600 (SD43) or the 116610LV (both of which I was interested in at the time), and I chose the 126600 which I somewhat regret now.

But the point is it's nice when owners and managers step up to make the customer feel appreciated, as Steven and team did for me, or correct an unintentional error as your AD did for you.
