Icon20 AP just increased their prices

AP just increased their prices over the weekend. It’s a slight increase but it seems like it’s more towards the RO models than the ROO ones

Yea jumbo 35 to 36 usd. Not as bad as I expected.

Seems to be across the board. Just checked Starwheel and ceramic beast and it looks like a 3% increase across the board

No obvious change to the Swiss prices so probably just a currency adjustment.

3-4% increase across the board.

With the gap between grey market prices coming down and retail prices continuing to rise, the idea of getting another watch is quite daunting.

Getting a bit rich IMO... Current market and slapping another 3-4% on top of it.

"Have a code or a ROO to get you started sir"... IMO it's getting to the point where the expensive other watches are being dangled to achieve a RO, esp since the pricing discrepancy is becoming pronounced... Maybe that's the new strategy

Steel perpetual is now $109,300. It was $61k when it was released in 2015.

That’s a 6,6% annual rise on the last 9 years.
More than inflation obviously

Yup, isn't it amazing what 6% compounded over 10 years can do?

People today argue about 2% vs 4% inflation completely miss the impact of compounding. 2% inflation raises prices 50% in 20 years, while 4% raises prices 50% in 10 years

It was around 80k when I put it on my wishlist a few years back. Really nice but not for me with current pricing.

Biggest thing on the QP will be what changes/new tech an in house movement brings next year and if they raise prices or not for the new movement.

Judging by what they did for chronos when they switched from F Piguet to the 4401, it should be a modest increase over MSRP but nothing crazy. That said, QP MSRP has been on an astronomical rise since 2019

Genuine question : what "new tech" is expected for a new inhouse perpetual calendar? I mean it's existed for 100y?

Power reserve and shock resistance / less frequent maintenance would be interesting but does that ever happen?

I was thinking more toward how the watch is set. If you look at RD#4, that watch can be set at anytime without messing it up and has a rather dynamic crown.

I would like to see a QP that you can set at anytime, is 50M WR, and only has three total holes (counting the crown) on the side of the case to give a nice smooth appearance on the non-crown side.

I would also like it to not increase in thickness...it needs to stay under 10mm.

PM code chrono went from $48.2 to $49.7. Even more reasons to grab one for $30k on c24

Just collected my ROC from AP London on Sat, still same price. Maybe cause it's a holiday today in most of Europe and increase tomorrow? Or most likely a re-balancing of prices globally on the lower price currencies (ie. US and Asia).

As long as they sell them, they can keep increasing the price. When you have 100k for a steel watch, you probably have 102k.

I am on 16 month hiatus (and counting). I think they have pushed the brand and pricing a little too far for my tastes.

There was a thread here about AP price reduction recently. I guess AP probably saw it and said ok. Here is the price increase for people in that thread weren't anticipating.
