1969 GMT Oyster bracelet links

I must have gained a little weight since 1969. I need to add a link to my bracelet but SF Rolex say they are not available. Something to do with the riveted links. True? Where or what is my next move? I don’t want to spend $1300 for a bracelet. Sigh.

There are a couple of different rivet bracelets, e.g. Swiss 7206 or a US-made C&I. Look closely at the clasp and the inside of the bracelet (or post photos) so you know what you have and what you need.

Also, double-check that the adjustment at the clasp is already at it's largest setting.

Take it to Giovanni at The Independent Watch Service Center right next to Rolex SF and he’ll take care of it. He used to be an RSC and has every part you’d need.

Another easy way to tell the difference between genuine USA rivets and genuine Swiss rivets- the USA rivets have a hole in the rivet head, whereas the Swiss counterparts do not.
