Annyone heard of this German brand? They have this chronograph which is also a chronometer. (ETA movement). Displayback, 10 ATM waterproof, etc.

Never heard of them Frans most probably a ETA 2836-2 with the year month complication. It don't look like a chrono dial,or even a functional chronograph,so rule out any of the Valjoux movements. And the only other Breytenbach I know was a writer

I like the model and crown, the dial is a little busy and reminds me of an older type chronograph. Breyten Breytenbach?

They don't have very good metatags. That site doesn't come up when you Google or Yahoo them.

Well Frans just checked Eds link and its a ETA 2836,so sorry it cannot possibly be a chronograph. But the 2836-2 is capable of chronometer standards, but would seriously doubt if they were tested just too expensive.

I can't figure out what the subdial at 9 is all about. Unless it's reading the day of the week. The subdial at 3 is the date; the 6 subdial must be a 24 hr hand. So the pushers must be for setting the subdials.

Have I got that right?

The subdials at nine are the days of the week 7 stands for Sunday.Subs at 6 just follows the main hour hand.Definitely not a chronograph.

HUH... The onion type crown cannot be linked only to Panerai. And its certainly not something that make people think about Panerai when they see it...

I think more IWC big pilot with a crown like that.

Is that a polite way in saying it's fugly? Well, bar the crowded dial, I like it! I think it's a fantasy brand. Like there are so many these days. With fantasy I mean that a trading company just picks some models from a generic catalogue and orders dials with 'a' name on it. We could do this as well, a TRF watch like the Speedbird watches from Time Factors

I just lull you to sleep with compliments and then take my rightful place on the tosser list. Above you, you're getting old How obvious is that, tosser?
