Which looks better on the wife’s wrist?

After borrowing my mothers 29mm Yachtmaster for the past couple weeks my wife is now convinced that she would like to upgrade her Omega Aqua-terra to a Rolex.

My first thought was the 35mm Yachmaster since I know she liked that style but wanted something just a little bigger.

However, when we put it on her wrist it seemed a little big even though her Omega is a 34mm and sits tall on the wrist. So, we tried the 31mm datejust on there and it seemed to be the perfect size.

What are your thoughts?

My wife has that exact size YM and loves it. Not a man's watch, yet larger than the old-fashioned women's watches. I vote YM 35mm

Another DJ vote, but I am not the one who will be wearing it. Get her the one she wants...

I think these are two different watches entirely. Both look great, but it boils down to personal preference. The DJ is classic elegance whereas the YM is more sporty. Personally as a WIS I like the YM on your wife only because I see DJ's on women a lot and the YM is something different.

Unless she needs the rotating bezel I say the 31mm DJ.
My wife wears a 31mm DJ, smooth bezel and oyster.

DJ seems to be the overall winner so far. I think either can be worn in about any situation giving a slight edge to the DJ when dressing up.

I like the fact that we can upgrade the dial down the road too
