HELP - Blue Dial Sky D options

Dear forum friends, I have an opportunity to get a blue dial Sky Dweller. It will come on a jubilee but with the option of the Oyster. If I choose oyster, I do NOT get the jubilee back. Of course I would prefer to have both. In general, I prefer the oyster on most Rolex. I have watched numerous videos and photo comparisons but I am still conflicted. I worry the jubilee might look too busy, fancy, etc. but also seems to compliment the fluted bezel. If I go with the Oyster, maybe a mismatch vibe? Or I'll regret it as I already have a few watches on oyster. I have one jubilee already on a DJ41 so I'm aware of the look and fit which I consider very nice. Advice, insight from the members is most appreciated.

When I asked for my Blue Sky Dweller I went for the Jubilee because all my other Rolex watches were on Oysters and I thought I should introduce some variety. I had my doubts though.

For me it turned out to be the right decision. The blue SS is a beautiful watch. The shimmering dial goes nicely with the WG bezel and the Jubilee completes the aesthetic. It's a balanced, integrated, classy overall look. I think the Oyster suits the black SS better, but that's just my opinion.

There is more. The Jubilee bracelet is so comfortable. The Oyster, even on something as bulky as a Sky Dweller is not uncomfortable. I could wear one 24/7 (and sometimes have), but the Jubilee is in another league. So much so that I had my TT Sky Dweller put on a Jubilee (which IMO suits it better than the Oyster) and my BLRO put on a Jubilee too. For both of these I have retained the original bracelets. It sounds like this is not happening any more?

FWIW.

The jubilee option looks fantastic, I bought the oyster for it too and kept both. The oyster bracelet has been on the watch for about an hour and I replaced the jubilee. No competition in my opinion, jubilee all the way.

Jubilee. Without doubt.

Enjoy the hell out of that Blue SS Sky D! (On jubilee, of course!)

Jubilee in my opinion… for all the reasons as mentioned above. The SkyDweller also sort of has a similar vibe to the DJ so the jubilee is just a natural fit

Obviously a highly personal and subjective opinion, but personally speaking I find the Jubilee just makes anything with a fluted bezel look far too busy and fussy for my tastes. And the Sky-Dweller also has a very busy dial (in a good way) as well, so I would always go for the Oyster.

The Jubilee is a odd bracelet for me as I like the idea of it more than in real life. I can just never get away from the '80's stockbroker image, especially on the TT version. TBH the only watch I like the Jubilee on is the BLRO.

But YMMV and ETTO, etc.

Since I have a number of options on watch selection, it is nice to have different watch for different occasions. With most of the pieces being more in the sport category my Sky D blue face is more “dressy”, and being all in on that in this situation I went Jubilee. It’s a stunning combination. I might go Oyster if the watch was worn more often or was a everyday deal.

My personal choice would be jubilee. Goes with the fluted bezel more so than the oyster IMO.

Get the watch with the jubilee. The fluted bezel looks better IMO with jubilee.

I own a blue Sky D on Oyster.

My 1st choice is Oyster, but if the blue dial was offered with Jubilee I would take it.

Blue SkyD on jubilee is very nice. Suits the watch well. I realize the rules are constantly changing, but I just bought an oyster back late spring of this year, kept the jubilee. Did that for both a SS and for a TT model - actually the TT came on oyster and I bought the jubilee as a 2nd for that model.

Another vote for the jubilee bracelet. It just fits the overall aesthetic of the watch better IMO

I prefer the Oyster on the Sky-Dweller… the Jubilee is too busy with the dial and fluted bezel. Also the Oyster feels better and more sturdy for the Sky-Dweller since it’s bulkier and top heavy… just my opinion.

I would take the Jubilee over the Oyster on any GMT or DJ41 configuration. The Jubilee is so comfy and just suits these lines much better.

Mine is on the oyster bracelet. I find it balances the top heavy skydweller well.

BLRO on Jubilee
BLNR on oyster

Just my 2 cents

I love it on jubilee. But then it looks like an oversized datejust (same case shape etc.). The oyster gives it a different vibe. Individual preference.

The jubilee is quintessential Rolex plus is much more comfortable; I would choose it over an oyster!

Oyster. Makes the blue Sky-Dweller seem more masculine and sporty.
