Forced to return Rolex...

If you buy a Rolex, and you don’t put it through its paces in life, Rolex should force you to return it.

Some reasons for returning it are:
  • Only ever worn with a suit, in a business setting
  • No scratches on your Rolex
  • You are too scared to remove links/screws yourself
  • It only lives in a safe
  • You bought it as an “investment”
  • You bought it to impress other people
  • You think the hang tag is equally important as your watch
  • Your Rolex diver has never been in the ocean

Who else agrees Rolex should enforce this policy?

Absolutely, friend!

Rolex should send its police force to peoples’ homes to make sure those people after spending $9,000 or more use the watches as Rolex directs!

There is a Nobel Peace Prize in your future, sir!

To all the grumpy “stick in the mud” replies thus far...please tell me you guys tick at least 1 of the boxes?!?!?

Otherwise if you are that boring, you may keep your Rolexes but you have to post at least 1 fun reply on TRF in 2020...

:-)

I wear a DeepSea Sea Dweller. I’ll never dive with it. The most it will ever be is maybe 6 feet under water. No, I’m not giving it back.

Yes 8x hahah. I love a high mileage watch. Wear it and enjoy it. I’ve seen people baby things and it’s kinda sad. If you are too concerned about your watch, maybe its not something you should have purchased.

Agree fully. However the mix of folks and posts on this forum tells me your going to get some defensive if not hostile replies as I bet maybe 75-80% here in this forum would have all those boxes checked and have to return their watch lol.

I think what you are seeing are responses to a childish posting. To be amusing, it would need to be a bit more sophisticated.

The last guy whom I agreed with that said something dumb just got banned. For a small sum of unmarked $$, I'll move on without further comment.

Both of my Divers have been in the ocean. A lot. But they aren't Rolex, unfortunately. I'd take a Sub in the ocean just the same.

I would argue that a tongue in cheek post meant to remind Rolex enthusiasts why we fell in love with these watches in the first place, is not as childish as grown men who come on here and throw tantrums about not being able to get their hands on hot Rolex models at their AD

I bought my watch because I wanted a rugged companion for my life, and that’s what I got

5 and 6 alone are over 90% of sales, so Rolex goes bankrupt straight away... I take it you are sponsored by Omega.

Are you kidding me? Seriously? Isn't that a bit extreme? What a person does with their own property is their business and should be anybody else's. I hope this thread is meant as jest.
