Minute Repeater at Sotheby's

Yesterday, an unusual AP Minute repeater went for only 20.000$ plus premium.
Anyone has an idea, what it retailed for and how the movement looks like?

I gues we should rename this the Royal Oak Forum :)

I tried this one on at the auction viewing, it's an interesting watch, not the best Minute Repeater I've ever seen, the sound wasn't that great, and the regulator was pretty loud, AP has quite a few affordable minute repeaters floating around on the secondary market, there is a jump hour variant that's very interesting.

Just a pic of the watch in question in my hand

Thanks, slider.

The watch must have retailed far north of 100K initially and I'd really like to see how the movement looks like.

I wonder what is retailed for in 1995, it sold for $25k inclusive of the buyers premium, a pretty good price for a modern minute repeater from someone like AP. I am sure if it was in a larger case size it would have commanded a much higher price.
