Rolex Service Center in Beverly Hills CLOSED DOWN for Good!

I just called Rolex because I wanted to get a quote how much would it cost to get a new dial and overhaul on my Datejust 41. I live in LA so of course I would be going to the RSC in Beverly Hills.

The agent told me that on April 29 (today) the RSC is closed and if I wanted to get my watch serviced, I need to go to an AD.

Is just in Beverly Hills or are other RSCs are closing down too?

I suggest calling back for a clarification. People can no longer walk into the Dallas or New York RSC and drop off a watch for service. You would have to post your watch for service to those locations. Is that what you were being told by the Beverly Hills location?

I drove there on 2 April to drop off 16600 for 10 year service. Closed!

With all the new service reqts coming from CPO and so many more watches going into circulation, why would Rolex do that?!?

I was told that the RSC is no longer accepting walk ins and if you need any service done, you would have to go to an AD.

Good question. I can’t understand a lot of things Rolex does. This one take the cake.

Rolex Service Center in Beverly Hills CLOSED DOWN for Good!

Old news! It was announced awhile ago, that they were closing at the end of the first quarter, 2024. I read it here several months ago.

The RSC hasn't "closed down for good." It's front doors that you would use to drop your watch off are indeed "closed down for good." You are no longer able to walk in & drop off a watch. The new SOP is that it will have to be sent in via your local AD/boutique.

That’s very disappointing. It was such a nice resource to have locally.

I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure it was reported here a few months ago that is was in fact closing for good, and not just the front doors closing.

Ah. San Diego is a bit of a walk from Beverley Hills or else I'd walk by & present them with high quality pressed hams.

The problem is that the ADs are incompetent here in the USA, I take them two watches, a two-line 14060 and a 214270 MK1 when you ask them if they are going to do the superluminova treatment or if they change the dial on the Explorer or things like that, they don't know …and they look at you strangely… most of them are young sellers who know the newest models and have no idea about anything or are totally inexperienced, I was lucky enough to take watches to the RSC in Mexico City and Buenos Aires AR, and the same technical watchmaker came out a Clarify your doubts… Official Rolex CSR

All the site employees that were let go would beg to differ. It is no longer on the site while the Dallas and NY RSCs remain. March 29 was indeed the last day.

Rolex still owns the building but based on what the employees told me, that is the extend of the continuing presence at the location. I actually don't think they perform full services at the location for a while now besides basic inspections. Now all services will be handled by ADs.

Yeah this is my worry 100%. There were so many things that the RSC was able to do for me that I think most ADs wouldn't have known about. For example, I swapped dials on my day date and they brought out a catalog of available dials and were able to verify their availability within 30 minutes.

No Way. Are we all sure its permanently closed? I depend on that location to do dial swaps, bracelet purchases, servicing, etc. THIS IS BS
