Air King
The more I look at pictures the more I like the dial of the Air King.
It’s not a popular watch. But it’s a good solid Rolex. I am seriously thinking about purchasing. I have a Milgauss which I purchased like 5 years ago. I like it it’s kinda under the radar type of watch. But with the likelihood of today’s market turning down the time might be right to grab a slightly used AK. What do you guys that own a AK think about it? |

I bought my AK more than 2 years ago when the AD was already started to stop giving any discount. The first impression of the dial via images was not very imressive until I seen the real watch. It is not a watch that you will fall in love at very first sight and there are equal number of lovers and haters for this AK in this forum. I just buy what you fancy most as one men meat is another poison.

If you love the Milgauss the AK is a good sibling watch to pair. For me, the case is thicker than I prefer and it’s too heavy on my wrist. I love the aesthetic but the fit just didn’t work. I love seeing it get love, though!

One of my favorite watches, I’m wearing it as i type this. I love the Flieger style minute markers and the pop of yellow and green, even the old school AK logo. The fact that it has the same anti-magnetic qualities as the millgaus is an added bonus. Will never leave my collection.

Huge fan of the modern AK, gave mine to my eldest son. He wears it every day.

I liked it in pics because of the super weird dial, thought I would love it in person because I like the under the radar Rolexes. When I tried it on I actually disliked it, the dial didn't do anything for me and the proportions felt off. I would like to try it again one day though.

Thank guys for the reviews
I know the AK gets the red head stepchild treatment on here. I really like it the more I see it. I found some for sale around 6-7k at some watch shops not AD. I don’t purchase from Rolex AD. I know a lot of guys do? But for over 25 years I make my Rolex purchase from Trusted Watch Shops. I don’t think they will drop any further especially if Rolex drops it from the catalog |

Air King is a great choice with an interesting and fun dial..I loved mine for a year as a daily. I did trade it for a new Polar and still have my Milgauss. I love the fit and feel on the wrist, it's like a DJ on steroids and a true 40mm, not too thick but it is substantial.

It’s a cool watch with a lot going on with the dial. I like that you don’t see it every day.
