I have both for my BLRO. I rarely put it on the oyster. The jubilee is far more comfortable and IMO looks better. In your shoes, I’d definitely get it on jubilee.

My preference is definitely the jubilee as I like the comfort and also it doesn’t scratch as easily. I’m quite fussy with the scratches...

But I would also consider the oyster as it is a different watch entirely.

From someone that has both neo-vintage oyster, neo-vintage Jubilee and new oyster w/ PCLs and new Super Jubilee, I'll say Jubilee hands down in almost all circumstances. The one where Oyster is the preference is the CHNR. I think the RG PCLs look killer (of course its a moot point with that watch, as Jubilee isn't available). I love the TT Yellow Rolesor Jubilee on GRNR, so would be interested in seeing on for the CHNR as well.

At W&W. I saw this as well in the Hodinkee coverage. Rolex volunteered that the bracelets can be ordered independently for this watch.

To answer the original question, Jubilee on this black and gray looks so sleek and sexy. Imagine this watch paired with a tuxedo!!

That’s the ticket.

But if you have to choose:jubilee. For this watch it would look too much like a Sub Date on oyster, even with the PCLs (which scratch, jubilee doesn’t. )

Jubilee for me on all GMT’s if I had a choice. RG - wish they offered it, if they did I would certainly choose it over the oyster

If I was buying one, I would go jubilee, as I've been after a jubilee for the collection for some time now.

However, as to which one looks better, I think it's pretty much a coin toss.

I like the jubilee on the new GRNR, as it adds a bit of bling to a rather monochrome look. You should buy what looks best to your eyes. I would think the new jubilee bracelets are much more durable due to the oystersteel and solid links. I think the old two-tone jubilee bracelets were more susceptible to sag due softer gold being in the mix. I think the president bracelets on Day-Dates have ceramic inserts at the pivot points to minimize wear and sag. Cheers.

Here is a really ignorant question.

When the 6542 came out, was it available on Oyster and Jubilee?

I probably have a leaning toward Jubilee on the GRNR… But I have some
sympathy for the argument that Oyster befits the tool watch aesthetic.

What would be really difficult for me is the question of what if only one bracelet ever existed (across the whole line) - which would I choose…?

Really, this issue of jubilee vs oyster is tiring. They both are comfortable and fine.

One shirt than the other.

Oyster is more grey, so for an overall monolith look, then Oyster.
