Strap Recommendation

Hello all,
I'm pondering a new strap for my 16234 DJ with a grey tapestry dial. Curious if anyone has any recommendations on which color to pair with the grey dial. I'm leaning black shell cordovan but could is there a better pairing I'm missing? thanks!

I think black would be your best option as well ...something on the shiny side or somewhat of a sheen would look nice so your black shell is a great idea.

Strap Recommendation

Definitely black. I’m not into the blue, green, gray, white color leather straps. Brown is okay, too. But I always wear black shoes with a suit, so I prefer black leather straps, and ideally alligator.

I think black, brown or color 8 shell cordovan all would work great. I have color 8 cordovan with my 16030 datejust with silver dial and I think it's great. Color 8 matches most anything.

Reading my mind. A shiny black Alligator strap is the way to go.

The original bracelet should be enough.

Why just one strap... when two or three give you more choices :)

To the OP -

May I suggest to you what I did for my old DJ 36 years ago -

I put on a Rios branded black crocodile strap with off white stitches - it really gave an old DJ a neat and elegant look. I sold it so I have no pix to share - but it was wonderful, albeit too small, a watch for me in these modern larger cased watch times.

Let us know what you decide to do and send a few pix….

Can’t go wrong with any black or brown strap
