I'd do similar, Tom Ford or Creed, a nice Cohiba or two, then out to a nice Michelin restaurant, probably one of Gordon's.

To keep it simple, we won't worry about taxes and interest, but let's just pretend that you got $1000 in your Venmo today as an unexpected refund from your gray dealer who felt guilty for over-charging you last year on that GMT you bought.

What would you blow it on? It doesn't have to be watch related.
An unrealistic basis for your question Michael?…

A refund of $1000 dollars from an unknown mobile number I could understand.

I'd buy a $726 backup for my GMT II that functions just like my Rolex.

There quite a few sub $1k watches I’ve been eyeballing Christopher Ward, Seiko, Yema, maybe an old Omega from the 60s.

I just think I'd let it make paying off the wife's credit card at the end of the month that much less painful

Wow. Some of these answers made me laugh, some made me cry (donate, etc.). Thanks all.

For those still following, I had a brain flash this weekend and decided to put the money toward my trip to Spring Mountain this fall. Ron Fellows academy.

When you buy a new Corvette or V-series Cadillac, GM pays for a introductory class at Spring Mountain. I did it years ago when I bought a C7 Chevy, now I'll do it for my Blackwing Caddy.

The $1000 just about covers the flight and rental car.

Interesting side note: I'm able to rent a Mercedes GT convertible from Turo for less than a Malibu from Hertz in Las Vegas.
