I think that just might be doable forme. Just tonight the wife was saying how she wanted to go back to Vegas. This might be the perfect excuse.

I'll slim back into that mankini yet!!

None of the search engines I just quickly looked at will search that far ahead but for this year a few days before is less than half the cost of a few days later.....??

No idea why that is but whatever the cost (short of a bodypart) I'm there!!!!

May and September-October are in the 25-30c; summer in Vegas can easily go over 40c

To be honest cost is of "quite some" (ok 'HUGE'!!!) importance to me!!

Dan:

What we do when we visit is look for non-vacation dates (ie spring break, summer, xmas, new year) and also look for trade shows. Vegas is known for its trade shows, which usually are quite large, so during those dates both air and hotel fares are quite high.

On non-show and non-vacation dates we have found rates under $90us at Mandalay Bay and under $200us at Wynn

I did suggest in earlier posts March / April for those who prefer mild weather.

You called

Seems like July would be a bad idea...weather/prices...etc.

There is a Uni mid semester break in April....it's only a week...but I may be able to work another week also if I'm nice to my Exec Dean...this year that gap would be from the 16th April to the 1st May...

So - - perhaps somewhere around here...?? It could vary next year...I can confirm and check the dates on Monday next week.

Otherwise it would have to be Dec/Jan - that's another very good time as it's our summer break !

Does any of this sound ok for everyone???

I think a Vegas get together would be awesome. Tons of places to go check out watches and a lot of great restaurants that could accommodate a big group. Sounds like a lot of fun.
