Thinking about a HULK

Let my Sea Dweller Deep Sea go, just because it was getting a bit heavy/bulky for me at this point.

Thoughts on a HULK as my one and only Rolex? Must admit considering the SPRITE as well.

Thanks!

The Hulk is A LOT of green, if you like green, by all means go for it. I personally think the 126LV is more balanced with the black dial, and they nailed the green on the MKII bezel.

One and only Rolex - probably a gold 4 digit Daytona. Or a stainless 4 digit.

Then just wear it while playing with the hulk figurine and drinking sprite

The Hulk is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby, the character first appeared in the debut issue of The Incredible Hulk. But never seen any of these comic book characters wearing a Rolex watch I heard they are going to discontinue all Rolex watches with comic character names.

I owned the LVc/Hulk for over two years. The Hulk is awesome but too much green and it has the older/thick lugs. If you can get past the left handed issued with the Sprite, I would go that route especially if comfort is a priority.

Why not the newer Sub41 LVc??

Also Mr PADI ,the hulk is a nickname for a green dial and bezel Submariner. Rolex is not going to discontinue all watches with superhero names. Do not believe all that you read. Cheer up some.

OP, wonderful watch. However, not sure I would want one as my one and only.

Any SS Sub w/cyclops is a one and done but it does pair nicely with a GMT on jubilee.

I’ve owned my LV for 8 years and if I could only keep one watch that would be it. The green is very deceptive as the sunburst dial changes significantly depending on the lighting conditions. It can go from a brilliant iridescent green in direct sunlight to almost black in lower light.

I think between the two I would go LV. To me the GMT. At least that variant is a bit too niche,… unless of course you are left handed. The colors on GMT I’m still not entirely sure of.

Again, +1

I owned it for 7 years. While I got a lot of enjoyment out of it I had 2 other watches with more versatility (female speaking). I sold it due to the hype. People DO notice certain watches in public; this definitely is one of them. I was too self conscious to wear it when the secondary prices soared. So basically, I enjoyed it for 7 years got double the money back and sent it to another good home where the buyer was thrilled. Win-win.

116610LV could easily be an only watch. It’s a Submariner. You just have to like green.

Personally, I love it.

Can't go wrong with the Hulk. The dial is stunning.

I wear mine in rotation & would not hesitate as a one & only daily watch. The green really pops on the sun light & looks black almost in the shadows. I say go for it.

If you’ve got the itch for a hulk, I’m sure that feeling isn’t going anywhere. Go for it.

Have loved that watch for a long time and even with all the new releases I still want it just as much as always.

Sprite, it’s my favourite Rolex and watch in general. Hulk is a fun watch and so are all LV Subs.

Definitly the sprite. It's a better watch imo.

Im in the camp of those who just cannot understand the hype behind the Hulk. The bezel and dial green are one of the most unappealing matches Ive seen. As the lighting changes, the shades of the dial and bezel become more divergent and make it look worse.

As a one and done, no way to the Hulk. I'm a much bigger fan of the new sub LV in terms of a green watch, but either are secondary to a GMT. If you only get one, why not have the added complication :)

I don't think you can go wrong with either. I love both of those refs and am actively trying to get a Sprite myself. Hulks have come down off their high peak, but still expensive. I personally would choose the Sprite as I am hoping to get a new one at MSRP, plus I like the quirkiness of the LHD, the GMT complication and that it also has the date complication. Jubilee is my favorite bracelet, so many more points towards the Sprite for me personally.

The green dial and bezel are not for everyone ! I would lean towards the GMT as a one and done . Ultimately you have to be happy with your watch! Good luck!

I prefer the newer 41 LVC, 70 hour pour reserve is really nice.

Green subs are amazing, can’t go wrong!

I’d be going for the hulk for a few reasons.

It’s more iconic
It’s prettier
It’s a sub so no setting GMT
It holds better value

The green is pretty and it’s easier to stand out with it.

The HULK is a great reference.

The wider lugs are part of its charm as they are on the older sub, and besides Hulk had a wide frame himself, so why not?

I don’t think you would be disappointed with either .. I would lean towards VTNR simply because a GMT offers more in my opinion, but the Hulk is such a lovely looking watch that green dial just pops !
