Rolex Warranty Card differences

I would like to buy a Submariner as a gift, but the warranty card of the watch is a bit different from mine. Both is an M series Submariner. I attached two pictures. Mine has got 16610 in Réf. montre and that one has 16610M. Do you think 16610M is a fake?

Thank you in advance!

16610 and 16610M both fine many different countries have different card ref especially the USA which is a separate company from Rolex SA Switzerland. And as both warranty cards have long expired as M serials in reality they are just bits of plastic. And even a warranty card or paper don't always prove authenticity of any watch as with today's technology these items are the easiest to fake its the watch that's the most important.

Yes, USA seems to get a nice holder for the warranty card. We get a small (and to be honest cheap looking) credit card sized leatherette thing with holes cut into it to show the numbers. I'm not fussed, it's only going to sit in the box anyway, but still!

Then again, perhaps the USA guys look at ours and want it?
I guess the grass is always greener on the other side

That's interesting....

If authentic, I would like to see the movement in the 16610M and see if it has a Parachrom hairspring or something else...

The only difference between the older 14060 and the 14060M was a slight Modification of the movement, hence, "M"

Good observation Mike, my thinking also due to the differences in the 14060 and 14060M Submariners.

Rolex serial numbers by date
Date Serial No

Dec 08 - 2010 V 000,001
Jan 08 - Nov 08 M 000,001

Have never heard of 16610M....14060M is something else. So 16610 M, must be from the year 2010.

Strangely, when I now look at another Rolex table, it shows that M, is 2007. what do you believe ...??
