Rolex Explorer 2 Bracelet stretch?
Hey guys,
I have been wearing a new Rolex Explorer 226570 for five months now. I noticed the top of the bracelet has become a bit unbalanced and slightly tilted inwards. I thought that 5 months is too short a period for bracelet stretch and I wanted to hear your thoughts. What do you think? |

The bracelet naturally has some slack otherwise it would be uncomfortable, I have the same watch and have only worn it probably 30 days since owning it just over a year, mine is exactly the same as yours, I have three watches on oyster bracelets they are all the same very slight ‘wobble’ in all the links more pronounced in the top to end link

Metal does stretch. It has an elastic limit. Below this limit it will return to its original dimension. Above this limit it enters the plastic stage, where deformation is permanent.
Screws with threads work on the elastic principle. I'm not saying this happens with bracelets. Just that you can't say metal isn't elastic. |

OP, are you referring to the gap between end link and the bracelet below the 10 on the bezel co spree to the smaller gap at same location below the 14 on the bezel?

That’s not bracelet stretch mate. That’s simply the tolerances inherent to the bracelet links.
Don’t worry about it.

I just checked my 2017 216570. Exactly the same uneven gap either side of the centre link adjacent to the lug tips. It sits straight but will move to that extent if wiggled.
