Did you request this watch? Were you on a waiting list for it?

If you have a purchase history, it’s not part of the big thaw.

It shouldn’t been that hot a watch to begin with.

I handled one and was underwhelmed. I suspect the hype is due to it having a nickname.

So you put your name for mentioned reference on the AD waitlist. Finally you get the call.... and declined.
Thanks for the info.

Back in 2018, I too was offered the newly released CHNR after requesting the also newly-released BLRO. Declined at the time, and bought the BLRO one month later.

You’ll likely get the black/green GMT in no-time.

It's a model that I like, would grow into, but not a first choice. I don't know if I would turn it down if offered.

Never say no to an AD these days because it is critical to build your purchase history. If you don’t want the watch at all, as long as you can just break even, then still buy it and then just flip it to Takuya or DavidSW the next day. Only time to say no is if you’re offered a piece that you don’t want AND no one else wants and it is unsellable without a massive loss, like the WG sub.

You likely won’t get offered another watch again.

Had family over for the recent winter holidays, and the CHNR was very much the universal fave by all the kids (those under 30). Imho the CHNR is amazingly attractive, plus am a rose gold guy, and after seeing it in person... sold.

It is actually quite stunning to me. The rose gold elements contrast with the SS which really makes a nice look.

Please don’t do this. This is how good AD’s get in trouble with Rolex. Rolex periodically does buy backs off the gray market, and frowns on these behaviors. Leave the watch for someone who wants it.

Well if those “good ADs” didn’t punish you by never offering another watch, then this wouldn’t be necessary.

The predatory behavior of ADs has resulted in this being an absolute imperative.

If you have purchase history of 0-2 watches, you simply do NOT have the luxury to turn down watches offered by ADs in this day and age or you’ll never get offered another one again. If you have a decade long relationship and have spent $100k then yes you can turn down a watch, but if you don’t, you must buy.

This mentality confirms why it’s easier just to buy from our trusted sellers and skip the AD games. That way you buy THE watch you really want instead of buying everything that’s offered to you just to play the AD lottery over many years. The AD’s must love this kind of desperation tactics. They will move every TT DJ just to keep you on the hook for a Professional model.
