I wish I was rich enough to buy my watches grey market. Sadly, I had to wait for my allocations but made it at the end.

Both my white and black dial 11 series from the AD, back in 2019.

Currently on the list for the new 12 series, white dial but not too bothered if I don't get it.

For me, since i have both black and white 11 series, I didn't even bother asking for the 12 series. There just isn't enough difference to justify buying (even at retail) from AD. Moving on to better and bigger watches to spend money on

AD came through after being allocated a batman on jubilee with no purchase history and then dealer lost their Rolex license. They were told they were too small of a dealer :( If you can find a sales rep that isn't a complete a** its all about making friends and making yourself known.

Waited 2 years for the AD, saw 12 series leak and promptly bought 11 series white from a grey. No regrets whatsoever.

My AD came through for me for both versions. They charged me $20k (cash) plus a year old 126610LN for a new black dial, then I traded the black dial in (sized, but not worn) plus $5k additional a few months later for the white dial version. Both 11 series a couple years ago.

Same here. Two different ADs. So strange that I wanted 13 years at AD #2 for white 116500 just three weeks after my wife bought me a black dial 116500 at AD #1.

Same here. My AD offered me a black dial and I declined. Got the white just shy of waiting 2 years, then I bought a black a few months later. I bought my first Rolex from that AD in 1998; after literally dozens of watches later they have lost Rolex as an authorized dealer.
It stinks for them, stinks for me having to start an AD relationship over; and it just plain sucks what has happened to this crazy hobby we all love to enjoy.

I have the both the White and Black 116500 here. My AD offered me a black dial and I declined. Got the white dial from them just shy of waiting 2 years, then I bought a black a few months later from the same AD. So many via AD, which I believe. So who is paying the astronomical asking prices? Non-watch enthusiasts who don’t know it’s a 16k watch at retail and they truly believe it’s a 34k watch?

Got mine via AD July last year. Must have been one of the last white Daytonas they got. My mind is still blown, not quite sure how it happened, but glad it did. I have owned/own many different chronographs. Thus far nothing wears like a Daytona.

When i asked for it, he laughed and said I would never get one. This was back in 2017. I tried for nearly three years and after that went grey. A year or two later or so I sold it during the insane prices period. I never looked back and don’t miss it. I miss my older style meteorite daytona more.
