The “influencers” have been saying that for years and we are still getting new cameras and lenses and 3rd party involvement. Then Olympus sold off its camera division to OM System a few years ago, and they said, see that’s the end, and it still wasn’t. People like it for video and travel/adventure photography. It’s not going anywhere. And even if they stopped development today, there’s everything anyone would want in terms of lenses and adaptable lenses available now. You’ll be good for many years until there is a game changing development.
