Introduction--and jumping in right away!

Hello,
I am happy to introduce myself. I am a hobbyist for seevral years and have experience overhauling many brands. Recently I was working on a rolex 2135 with a broken jewel setting for the escape wheel on the plate side. I don't have a Seitz jeweling tool, but do have a good staking set. I sourced a new jewel setting which comes complete with shock protection within brass bushing. My question: Can I replace this with my staking set? I would think I push the old jewel; from inside out towards the dial side and do the reverse to put in the new jewel? Any suggestions to reduce the chance of mishap would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
JC
