Demagnetize a 114200

Hey. I have an OP Olive dial 114200 purchased in 2018. I have noticed the past several months that it has been running fast…I’d say 15 seconds per day or so. I purchased a demagnetizer from Amazon (QEES brand..the blue one). I haven’t tried it yet as I’m terrified that I’ll mess it up somehow. I think I’m at the point that I’m gonna do it now. My question is should I unscrew the crown to stop the seconds hand or would it be okay to just let it run while I’m trying to demagnetize it? Or are there any other suggestions that would be better? Thank you!!!
