Has anyone bought one ?. Or seen one at a AD ? .

Six months ago I did see one at a Rolex event but since then nothing.

What’s going on ?

I saw an exhibition piece yesterday at a Southeastern US AD. That was my first time. I really loved the piece. Extremely light due to the Titanium, the Black on Black bezel was easy on the eyes, and the bracelet was much more of a matte finish than most. My wife didn't care much for it, but I sure did.

Haven't seen one at an AD but there's a few out there in the secondary market, so someone is getting them.

Had one on the other day at my grey of choice! Looks great and light as a feather. Almost too light!

I saw and tried the display. I'm in love with it. Almost impossible to get.

This is the process for every new model Rolex stainless steel watch, as I understand it. We do seem to be well behind schedule on this one.

1. New model announced at Watches & Wonders (Day 0)
2. Watch seen worn by Marky Mark and/or Sylvester Stallone (+3 months)
3. Watch shows up on Chrono 24 (+4 months)
4. Watch shows up on DavidSW (+6 months)
5. Watch shows up as display only model in Rolex ADs (+9 months)
6. Tim Mosso does vignette of watch on YouTube (+1 year)
7. Watch is available to VVVVVVVVVVVVIPs (+1.5 years)
8. Watch is available to other Rolex watch collectors (Never)

I posted a thread about a YouTube review, watch Eric, who said it had Tudor vibes. Never heard a Rolex being described as derivative of Tudor.

The video is good, the shots don’t purposely try to flatter the watch. The on wrist look is completely underwhelming.

Of course, since I’ve been unable to view it in person, I’ll refrain from any conclusions but the piece is certainly much less interesting to me now.

I'm very curious about this one and have been wanting to see it the metal since it was released. Hoping that my AD will at least have an exhibition piece at some point to try on.

Has anyone received this watch? I don't remember ever seeing any incoming threads. I did a quick search and there's some hands on/exhibition threads, but that's about it.

Tried it on at my AD, an exhibition piece. Too light or for me, almost felt cheap… would not be interested.

I love the matte black bezel. I would be interested if I didn't have a Sub Date. I can only confirm as others mentioned that it's insanely light.

Chatting with my SA around Christmas it seems that the ti Yachtmaster is a unicorn. They either haven’t gotten any or very few, wasn’t real clear.

I think most AD’s will see 1 or 2 pieces in 2024.

I found it odd that the TYM does not have glide lock but has the easy link extension.

That has always been the case with YMs.

It's a full Ti watch. I'm not sure what some of you were expecting...

I tried one on in Lucerne at Bucherer over the holidays.

I was eagerly anticipating this watch and psyched to try one on. Unfortunately it fell flat for me. Some will absolutely love this reference I’m certain, but after having seen it and trying it on, it’s definitely not for me.

Having tried on the YM Ti and owning a Tudor Pelagos I would have to agree with him, the YM being even lighter than the Pelagos.

Some Rolex people are turned off by the "lightness" feel of titanium watches because they equate "heft" with "quality".

The YM Ti is VERY light, like only 100 grams light. A Submariner is 50% heavier at ~155 grams.
