I am not bashing the Pelagos because I love the watches. But have had one entire bezel fall apart while standing in my kitchen. Didn’t knock it or anything. I believe due to being in ocean a few hours prior. And had another Pelagos within past year where a lume market fell out.
In both occurrences rolex replaced for free. I say I love the Pelagos but bezel is weak point. Lume markers and jamming after salt water.

I am pretty sure rolex fixed the failing lume markers in the FXD. It seems the plots are painted on rather than voided spaces within the bezel with markers inserted.
I still have one regular Pelagos and an FXD.

I definitely can't complain about the durability and other than the ultra brushed (scratched) finish of the clasp and bracelet, it still looks pretty good and keeps great time. The declining power reserve has been the only issue up until now.

I think I'm going to have RSC do the full brush (I guess they probably can't call it a polish on the full brushed Pelagos?) on it while it's in for service, but I'll probably miss it looking a little beat up.

Glad to see someone else’s bracelet look as beat up as mine. I’ve taken a few diggers in my BB58.

I own or have owned all of the Pelagos watches except the 39. I have found them robust and a pleasure to wear. I do not believe the watches are indestructible though. Depending on wear and what you may hit them on the bezel is obviously a point of concern.

So frustrating, especially when the pelagos feels like such a tool. Haven’t had issues is the 4+ years I’ve had mine but have seen a few of these threads…

I’ll be sure to take it down to 500m next time I go to the beach instead of playing in the waves with my kids

Ouch! How did that happen? About the only thing I took this Pelagos off for during the first years was reaching into engine bays. It was literally my only watch. I’m much nicer to it now, lots of G Shock and Apple Watch time during rough activities, that is why I am so disappointed this time. The first replacement was well deserved
