Great thread, I had never seen the Octopus, very cool. Here's my Z serial, it was running 10 secs fast and I got it adjusted on Friday. Today it's 12 secs off, so 3 secs per day, not bad.

Lets here why you chose the Sea-Dweller. I am certain that many of us (if not all of us) thought of buying the iconic Submariner. What persuaded you to the Sea-Dweller?

I already have a submariner so the Sea Dweller was next in my collection.

Ok, here goes.
No cyclops
Classic
Built stronger
Helium release valve (will never use, but cool)
The history and story
Not one of the masses of Sub owners.

Flame suit on!

OK Judge

Sea-Dweller separates itself from the classic submariner for technical use only.
16600 was exclusively equipped with a toolkit,
no other!!! Rolex watch has ever had a technical kit

no actors no models no singers no TV personality NO VIP wear sd 16600 (16660)
everyone chooses classic Submariner (beautiful absolutely we agree. ok), but SD16600 is something else

First picture (not very good) of my 2005 Sea Dweller, bought just the day before yesterday! Hoping to take better pictures of it in the fish tank before too long!

Thanks mate.

To answer your question, I opted for the SD because it didn't have the cyclops.

I have a Sea Dweller.

I bought it a few years ago from our dear departed friend JJ.

It is very special to me.
