Agreed - it took a great watch and made it better. Love the knurled crown and the hacking movement. Both are great improvements to an otherwise bullet proof watch.

Love this 5722. Classic look that reminds me of the 6119 cal from the past. Congrats.

Thanks! I have a soft spot for Seikos that came out in the late 1960's, because that's the time period during which Seiko was embarrassing the entire Swiss watch industry so badly that they stopped doing chronometer competitions. And that was before the quartz "crisis."

Exactly. I bought this 6119 here from a gentleman who told me he wore it everyday for more than 35 yrs, and even said he used to throw it in the pool for his grandson to get from the bottom, and when I brought it to my watchmaker for a service the movement was shining like new. They surely know how to make great watches my friend.

Seiko Watches Picture Thread.

Love my 16610LV, I wear the green bezel all summer then swap for black during the winter,but....

My spork is my pub and cycling watch, haven't seen another one in the wild, seen a few 16610's though no LV's

I see more Rolex's than I so Seiko divers.

Enjoy.

That's awesome! Cool watch and great story, and you're still using its capabilities to the fullest!

I also have a local mall-Seiko guy; he loves seeing the old Seikos I bring to him for band swaps.
