Rolex DJ41 on wrist
Apologies in advance for posting about a topic that has already been discussed too much, but I'm absolutely torn between the DJ 36 and 41. The 41 wears a little larger than I'd like, and 36 a little smaller. For reference, I own a Tudor BB58 and love the fit (39mm) on my 6.5in wrist.
Attaching a pic of the DJ41 on my wrist. Thanks in advance for your thoughts! |

My opinion just go with the 36. But your opinion is the only one that matters!

Hard to make the call without seeing the 36 on your wrist. I think the 41 looks good, but again I'd like to see the 36.

6.5” wrist then go with the timeless classic 36. I have the same size wrist and the 36 is perfection IMO

I have a 7 1/2 inch wrist. My 36mm Datejust gets the most wrist time. A classic watch, and I personally feel 36mm is the correct size for that style watch.

this. But also consider just how much "wrist presence" you want with the DJ? The 36 will be a bit understated in that regard, and the 41 will make a more noticeable difference - in that regard. The 41 looks great on your wrist BTW.

Looks great - I actually didn’t know if it was a 36 or 41 until I read your post. I would go 41.

Appreciate all the responses! Quite silly of me, but I forgot to click the 36 on my wrist when I was at the AD. But I plan on visiting another AD this weekend to try on both sizes again. I will click a picture and post it here then!
Totally agree with the point on how much wrist presence I would like the watch to have. Hopefully the second visit will make things clearer for me. |

That works, but I have a inclination that the 36 will work just a touch better. Post a pic when you can.

From your photo of the 41, I think the 36 would be perfect.

Wrist shots are always distorted and biased towards a bigger appearance than reality. I have a same size wrist and 41mm is perfect imo. Sportier, more modern size.

Datejust 41 actually is only 39.2mm. The dial of the 41 is only 2mm larger than the Datejust 36
This is from a YouTube last night someone making a comparison. IMO go for the Datejust 41. |

I’d get the 36. It’s a classic and trends are moving in that direction.

36 because less conspicuous and thus more classy.

I think the 41 looks good for you. Which variation are you wanting?
My first Rolex in 1984 was a 36mm SS Datejust fluted with blue stick dial, amazing you can still get pretty much the same thing now. |

I can't see the problem ... that a bigger wrist would not solve

TT fluted bezel and jubilee? I would go with 36 for all but the most rare wrist sizes.

Usually a fan of bigger watches and while this doesn't look bad, I'd opt for a 36 with a 6.5" wrist

Which one feels the best for you? I think the 41 looks good. The 36 may also look good. I’m in a similar position an went for 41

Easy way to tell, the 41 has numbers between the hour markers and rehaut.
