Trf psa

I just received the following PM from a brand new TRF member, Mikky54 (0 posts) and I think it's a phishing attempt because the link, which appears to be genuine TRF, required my login credentials after I was already logged in... I didn't take the bait....

PLS I NEED YOUR FEEDBACK
Hello,

I am new here and about to make my first purchase for a Rolex watch from a member on the forum and you have been selected as one of his ref which is why i am writing you. So i was curious and thought it would be worth the due diligence.

Here is the link to his post

xxx

Thanks for your time.

Thanks for the PSA. Good rule of thumb is not to click links from people you don't know or that you're not expecting to receive.

Is this person asking for your mother’s date of birth like that other thread?

Joking aside, this is very scammy.

Very basic and obvious phishing attempt.

While this one is a poor attempt it’s important to stay diligent and on guard.

I always thought I was too smart to be tricked but I did get fooled by a much more elaborate Lyft phishing attempt about a year ago.

Stay sharp!

I got one of those today, too. They’ve been busy.

It's never a good idea to post the fraudulent links in your posts!!!!

Also, you should know if you're a reference for buyers/sellers or not.

Mods should remove the link from the initial post so people don’t accidentally click it. I’m sure many people already have and you just helped this scammer out!!
