Details on last night:

Was going to wear my 116619 but had the GMT on all day, so I just left it on.

6:30..pm showered the watch and myself

7pm..wife and I left the house to pick up another couple

7:30 arrived at the Resturant called The View, as soon as we sat down we asked the waiter open the wine I brought. 2007 Berringer Private Reserve a while later ordered another bottle of Napa Red, forgot the name, but very good too.

After 2 hours left the resturant, most excellent meal. Headed to a new local winery resturant and had a bottle of Veuve Clicquot, very tasty. Saw a boxed case of Continuum Cabernet, Napa purchased that at a fantastic price.

After an hour headed towards a sushi place closer to home, girls played a few bucks on the poker machine, the boy's talked, I had a crown reserve with a splash of ginger. Was home by 11pm.

The watch is insured

Yes, insured. I've had a ROLEX on my wrist for 15 years, even when sleeping. So I don't take it off to wash my hands when out.

If you never take it off, maybe you had an unpleasant rendezvous with a pickpocket. Happened to me in Lisbon. Do you remember at any time if you were bumped & distracted, etc? Maybe by a very hot girl & her accomplice lifted your watch?

I'm asking because if that happened, & you remember where, then there may be security footage.

Within 10 mins of getting home I noticed I was watchless. I thought maybe I took it off when I removed the box of wine from the back of the Touerag, so I checked that area of the SUV.. No luck

I'll keep looking and file police report and report to Rolex as well

Insured with USAA so that's good, they have a relationship with Rolex I heard

Sorry to hear this. I hope you find it or they catch the thief. I do have to thank you though - you made me realize that I needed to take out insurance for my new acquisition. Hopefully I'll never have to use it, but you showed that even with the greatest of care they can still be lost...

Well, this is embarrassing !! Evidently the watch fell or I set it into the wine box when I opened it at home last night, watch was face up. I must've been getting ready for a pic. True story and lessened learned.

I must've taken it off when I switched watches before bed. Nice and comfy sleeping last night in that box.

Sorry everyone, good reason to update my insurance policy now. Scary. I should've check there before driving to the restaurants just now.

All the restaurants were to busy to check surveillance cameras and was going back to them tomorrow during non peak hours.

I'll crawl back into my cave now
