Bracelet screw comes out on new Rolex
I bought a Milgauss a week ago from my local AD, and one screw on the bracelet keeps coming out a little bit. Specifically it is the screw on the link actually attached to the clasp on the 6 side. I have screwed it in myself with a tiny screw driver, yet it still comes out a bit (every couple of days).
Obviously this shouldn't happen and my fear is that the entire watch might fall off my wrist. How common is this problem? Is there any easy fix, or should I go to a RSC (there is one a few blocks away from me). Thanks, Rich |

This is a very easy fix... Since it is new, I would go back to either the AD or the RSC just down the road. All they need to do is place a bit of loctite onto the screw thread and put the screw back in, this will do the trick You cal also do this yourself very easilly but since it is new I would just have them do it.
The AD may not have used loctite when they sized the bracelet for you, a mistake in my book but again should not be an issue Lets see some pics of your new watch

Yep, Loctite works. I had this occur on my new DJ.

Thanks Adam. I'll do that.
They didn't need to adjust any links because the watch fit me as it came (I tried on two or three Milgausses and they all fit the same). However this brings up another question, as I wonder what they would have done if my wrists were bigger? Should my watch have come with extra links? I counted the links - there are seven full links on the 12 side (plus the extender link), and only five full links (plus the half link affixed to the clasp) on the 6 side. I'm not counting the links between the lugs that don't move. Is it normal to have an imbalance? If they should have given me extra links then I'll have the AD do the loctite and get them to give me some extra links, otherwise I'll go to the RSC. Thanks again. Rich |

Thanks again Adam, and all else who answered so quickly. These forums have been extremely helpful. I've learned a lot in only a few days, but so much more to learn.
I haven't taken any pics of my watch yet, but will do so in the next couple of days and then post my pics. I've clued in that posting pics is quite common, and have really enjoyed seeing all the different watches out there. It makes me want to get a second Rolex, but it will take some time to convince the wife (although she encouraged me on the first). |

Rich, similar thing happened to me except all the screws were loose. Now, I'm also in Toronto and I wonder if you bought it at H.T. Jewellers. Mark
