It's the original Submariner Triplock crown which came with the watch originally.

Glad that you like it!

Is it a custom made project or is it the Philipp Stahl re-edition? Care to share some details about it?

entirely custom made.
Has nothing to do with Philipps reedition which is based on a modern 114060.

What you see here is a modified 16610LV by ABC Watchwerks.

Could be wrong, but it's probably a regular size crown. It just looks bigger without the crown gards.

Here's a subtle mod. Cyclops removed and 24 hr hand painted orange.
A little bit of the 216570 look without the Maxi-ness.

Thanks to all for the compliments!

It was quite a long project and ABC Watchwerks where very patient and supportive all the long way.
It took me some time to convince myself ruining a perfect Rolex in the eyes of a purist but I am very happy with the results.

I can't praise Dalton from ABC Watchwerks ehough and would not hestitate giving them my order again.
And I know that they have been working countless hours on the watch.

Here is a before and after comparison of the same watch:

Hmmm, I'm not an LV fan, and I'm the first to mod my watch as I believe in personalizing as much as the next guy but why not sell the LV and buy a Sub date and do the mod? Surely you would be ahead $$ wise?

Was it the maxi dial that you wanted?

Awesome mod none the less

Yes, that's it.

Re. using a normal Sub: It's quite the opposite!
Selling the LV flat 4 bezel insert, crystal and the LV dial and hands brought quite some money into this project.

At the end of the day, it was cheaper than using a standard 16610 and modify it.

Thanks!

The crystal is a genuine 29 crystal, to me there is no difference to the original crystal re. thickness.

Here are wrist shots:

I've put the watch on a metal strap, but imo, it does not work on the wrist:

It looks fine on the studio shot:

on the strap, it's always nice:

Pt day-date with YG dial and hands, and cyclops removed.
I did this because I really like this dial but have been unable to find it in WG.

Not sure if this has already been posted in the past, but I think it's a pretty cool concept for the right kind of person! Sub Roulette
