Welcome!
If you could post a picture, that would help a lot - there are a lot of different Seamasters, both old and new, so if we could take a look, I'm sure we could give you a more educated opinion Chris |

I totally agree with this. I have a 10 year old 2254.50 and beat the hell out of it with all kinds of sports/activities. Still keeps perfect time even without any maintenance.

Seamasters are excellent watches. Until Rolex redid their Submariners, they were the finest sports watch available.
As for price, a lot depends on condition. If it needs service and has normal wear, I'd say $800. Maybe $1000-1200 if it was recently serviced. |

Edson, if you're interested I am selling a 3 year old omega seamaster 300m GMT, ref 2535.80.00. I have it on craigslist but am getting a lot of scammers so i will put it on TRF soon. It is in very good condition, I am the original owner and bought it from an AD (I have original receipt as well), comes with inner and outer boxes, all tags, warranty cards with wallet, everything you would receive if bought from a dealer, except no 4k price tag. Pm me if you're interested and I'll send you pics.

Big fan of the Seamasters. Bang-for-the buck? Tough to beat, and damn near indestructible.

I have a Seamaster and it is an excellent every day watch. It can be worn at any occasion. Highly recommend it as a great variety piece to go with rolex in a rotation.

My 2254.50 is a keeper for me. I got one of the last ones sent to the USA and don't plan to ever sell it. My other Omega keeper is my Speedy Pro 3570.50. Cheers, Bill P.

I've had my Bond 2531.80 since 2005, and it has been by FAR my best looking / most comfortable watch to wear ! In fact, I'm wearing it as I type this :)
I HIGHLY recommend the Seamaster ! |

By the way, think hard if it is not a full size watch that is on offer.

Really good.
Seamasters are really, really good watches.
My Seamaster PO has become my daily watch and, as such, now gets more wrist time than my Sea Dweller, Deep Sea, Sub no-date, Daytona and Yachtmaster combined. Find one you like and be prepared to be impressed. |

Omega SeaMaster Watches
I had 2of them. A Blue Faced Seamaster 300M Automatic/James Bond Model. Also a Blackfaced SeaMaster 300M Automatic/Chronograph. The Blue one gave me 8 years of Out-standing service then the main spring broke and it cost me $350.00 to repair and Complete overhaul. Then I bought the Black Chronograph in 2006 while my blue one was being fixed, and it gave me 6 years of Out standing service. So after 13 years of great service from both seaMasters, I bought the Blue one in 1998. I Then I sold Both of them and Bought a new Rolex Submariner Ceramic/ the newest Submariner. I was able to afford the Rolex when I sold my SeaMasters. But to answer your question The Omega SeaMasters are some of the Best Watches in the world, I loved mine, great, great, tough and good looking watches. I hope this new Rolex can match the years of enjoyment and tough ness that my SeaMaster's gave me. We will see

Seamasters are gret, owned 3 of them before.
But when the collection got too big, they did get sold. I have nothing but good things to say about them though. |

To the OP, I've had my Seamaster for about 13 years now. It stopped after three from a problem, but I think it was because I stopped wearing it enough and didn't wind it, as I was wearing my Breitling all the time. I think the oils didn't get lubricated enough. I also heard there was something in the earlier models, a problem or something. But I had it serviced a year ago and it's keeping time to within +1.7 seconds a day. It's comfortable, accurate, and I'm enjoying it. I'm really kicking myself for not wearing it more often over the years, but I was using the Breitling functions for work. The Seamaster is a great watch, and I'd recommend one. But you should buy what you like. But a word of advice, if you ever stick it back in it's box for a while, be sure to wind it periodically, maybe, I don't know, once a month or more to keep the oils from drying and gumming up maybe? |

buy a vintage one with a 30mm, 5xx, or 7xx caliber, & it will run forever.
