Rolex Prices in Hong Kong

Hi All,

Am planning a trip to Hong Kong 3rd week of this month a holiday for my family to Disneyland and hopefully this trip I can sneak out to get two watches.

Hope that bro from Hong Kong can give me some idea f the prices for pre-own/new for the Sub LV V series and Milgauss White Dial V series.

Apreciate any guidance

I have purchased a few 2nd hand watches from here. Normally can get discount if pay in cash. Happy shopping.

Sorry to hijack this thread. I am also visiting HK but on the 17th of April.

How about the Milgauss GV pricing? I am looking for the cheapest so second hand is fine but at least in 95% condition. Can you recommend any shops and prices? Thanks.

Any indication of the price reduction from their offer price in terms of percentage? based on cash payments?

Don't suggest to buy at 2nd hand market since you will not stay in HK for long time any issues its hard for you to handle...but if you want to I can suggest 2 shops which are the major local Hong Kong people to trade/buy for 2nd hand market:

http://www.kkwatch.com/product_list.asp?sc=6
This one seems better reputation from local HK forum

http://www.kwaiyanwatch.com/c_index.php
This one has more shops in HK but seems not as good as Kkwatch

For 116400GV, AD listed price is 48,600HKD, but not every AD have stocks, because of the shortage this model will NOT have any discount from AD

2nd hand prices for the LV should be around HK$38,000 and Milgauss white dial should be around HK$38,000 as well.

Cash discount will depend on Dealers' discretion.

Personally i can get discount from Ken's Watches since I'm a frequent buyer. Ask for Alex at the Central branch.

That's good!
For models like 111 or 312. Do you think they go over 10% off for Bnib ?

I just got back from HK. As soon as shop assistants found out I was from London they told me not to bother as everything in HK is now priced towards rich Chinese.

And I found everything more expensive than London - you'll be able to get much better deals in Singapore, I was there over Christmas last year and could quite easily get 15% + off.

The most I was able to get off in HK was 10% on a 16622.

Even the second hand goods in Tsim Sha Tsui were really expensive..

Yeah, sad days are here.

Anyhow, what the assistants told you is perfectly true. Cash is king, and boy do some people here have a ton of that nowadays... it's almost like they don't know what to do with it all.

Well this is not the right place nor the right time for me to go more in to this, so I'll keep my fingers away from the keyboard.

But yeah, sure this have definitely affected prices in places like HK, no doubt about it!

Cheers,
Joe

the prices in HK are no longer like they were decades ago. Back then, you could get one for cheaper than buying in Switzerland.

It certainly appears, based on some of the prices on the websites listed,
that you can get a better deal from some of the TRF sellers than in Hong Kong.

Let see where u come from,
if u come from EU, the EU dolar (as well as UK $) depreciated so much that every in HK will be more expansive than before
if u come from US, it should be the same as HK has policy to keep same currency rate to USD all the time
So just use 16610 as reference, here the list price is HK$44,500 and real selling price is HK$40,940 (8% discount fixed) from all AD, you can check whether it is cheaper than your region.
Happy buyng :)

Milgauss White (pre-owned) - around HK$34K - 35K, (balance-trade imported brand new) - HK$37K.
Milgauss GV (Brand New) - very firmed with listed price which is HK$48600.

Except Ken and Powanloi, you may consider "Kuen Kee" and "Kwai Yan".

www.kkwatch.com

www.kwaiyanwatch.com

Hope this help.

Guys & Gals,

Thank you for your constructive suggestions and comments, as this will be my last purchases for the next 2 years as I have already promise my Mrs.

The main reason is becuase we have another little one coming in October 2010.

So i really need to stretch the watch funds that I have...lol

This trip I will be getting the Sub LV V series and Milgauss White Dial or GV depending on the price.

Desmond, u are better off getting your Sub in Singapore. It is UNLIKELY to be cheaper in HK despite of the exchange rate. Rolex in HK is practically one of the most expensive in the world. If u are getting pre-owned, unless u have a sharp eye fur authentic pieces or if u have absolute faith in the pre-own dealer, its not very wise to go for one in HK.
