I’m getting older and wiser. Went to Europe for three weeks last month.
Left it at home. Amsterdam to Venice. I’m turning sixty and it’s turning forty in November. 5 years ago I was the unwilling victim of a thief who tried to take it off over my right hand. Rolex and thief both survived the venture. I got a few stitches from the clasp. Gendarmes intervened neatly. Thief eventually recovered. LA Last edited by Dove37; 2 October 2018 at 04:10 AM.. I do not wear while lifting heavy weights or generally in the gym at all. I wear pretty much everywhere else. They are made for the water.

Bluesy pretty much 24/7 including construction and working on my diesel truck. 14 years it’s a tough watch. Got some dings but overall it’s in decent shape. I’ve since switched to a DSSD most of the time now.

It’s the first thing I put on when I wake up, it’s the last thing I take off before I sleep

When I'm on rotation it never leaves my wrist, when I'm at home I dont wear them in the gym, shower or when I sleep.

Off to shower and sleep, and at the gym I usually switch to a fitness tracker or Casio G-Shock. Otherwise it's on my wrist.

I have a Swatch day-date that has been my foreign travel watch for the last 15 years. During that time, I have been pickpocketed in Venice and Istanbul, lost several hundred Swiss Francs in a hotel room and had my wife's Mondaine SBB pocket watch taken from another hotel room. I'm not trying to impress anyone in a foreign country while on vacation.

I take mine off in the evening at home and put back on in the morning. Only sport I do is football so don't wear for that.
Wear whenever out of the house. Always worried a little bit the next day after a night in the pub, one two many pints and more prone to a ding. |

I have a strange habit of taking my watch off when I come home from wherever, I leave it on the counter with my pocket knife and keys. I don’t wear my watches exercising (Casio or Garmin) and put them in the safe before bed.

I wear mine all the time except for showering/bathing and to the gym if I'm doing something where it would get in the way (Oly lifts, pressing with wrist wraps, etc.).

I usually either have mine on or if I take it off at house I put it back in safe on watch winder. It’s just kind of a habit. At gym I will only take it off if an exercise will affect the watch. If I do it I try my best to just take it off without anyone seeing me and wrap it in my workout towel. I wear in steam room. I say this because another member posted about getting condensation in watch after steam room. I have never had this happen to any watches. If anything it gets a nice dew on top of the watch so I can wipe it clean.

I take it off to shower and sleep most days. I did get a quick bench workout in with one on the other day, but I didn’t change to gym clothes either.

I have to have a watch at the gym. Gainz require carefully calibrated rest periods between sets. Currently using my Tudor Black Bay chrono on a rubber B strap for the task since it's easy to admire the dial while I wait. I'm pretty impressed with the robustness of the movement.. still keeps within +2/-2 even after all the running, jumping, burpees, and olympic lifts.
Aside from the gym, I take mine off to shower and sleep, but otherwise have a watch on. |
