Watch Winder - women’s watch

Before we get into a discussion about whether or not a watcher winder should be used……my wife has an OP34 that she tends to wear every three or four days. Experience tells me that if her watch stops, she won’t take them time to set and wind it. She will just grab her iwatch.

I have tried a few watch winders and the cushion for the watch is too big, putting undo strain on the bracelet.

Has anyone had a similar issue and solved it?

I have a small wrist, 6.75”. I use an Orbita Sparta. The pillows fit snugly but not snugly enough stretch steel. I wouldn’t worry about it.

Wolf makes an extra small cuff. In buy those for my wife who has a very small wrist.

With my wife’s watches I turn the cushion 90 degrees sideways and place the watch on it with the clasp open which fits perfectly. Note that she has a very small wrist. Also, she will never wind or set the time on her watches so the winder works very well for her situation.

I noticed the same when I received my watch winder even though the product stated that the smallest cushion was ok for women’s watches. I have a 15cm wrist and when I put my watch on the cushion, the bracelet definitely looked strained.

I just took scissors and cut the cushion until it was the appropriate size. It doesn’t look great, but it’s the side that is inserted into the winder so I don’t really notice or think about it anymore.

You can get smaller cuffs for most winders. I had to do this. My wrist is only 6.3"

I have beautiful Burlwood winders, that cost a small fortune, themselves. I stopped using them years ago. I don’t remember having any issues with the watches being too tight. I do notice that, with my watch cases, though. They are very snug, but It doesn’t worry me.

I bought the small size “pillows”, for my girlfriend’s watches, directly from the Orbita website.

I have a Wolf winder. In addition to ordering the smaller cuff, what I did was put rubber bands on both ends to compress the pillow. This way when I put the watch on, there is very little added compression. I have not had any trouble for years.
