Two-tone DJ Availability

Are two-tone DJ's in either size, fluted, any harder than any other DJ or are they all about equally the same?

Just curious if it's produced in more quantities, even though I suspect I already know the answer and replies. But there are some people more in tune with the market than others.

A few months ago, I tried a TT DJ41 fluted jubilee white dial. Available, I had no purchase history at that AD (Rabat, Madrid, Spain). Very nice piece, classy.

It’s a popular configuration, a Rolex icon if there is such a thing. As such I do think production is high. Before the covid madness they weren’t always readily available at the AD for walk-in, but you could usually find one without much trouble. Highly recommend.

That just looks splendid.

I’m assuming that’s yours right?

I think they are still hard to source in either size from an AD. Not many delivered and demand is strong for that configuration.

According to my SA, you can order that from your AD. If Rolex approves your order, you would pay for it up front, then wait for it to be delivered. It could still be awhile, but you would be guaranteed to receive it.

Which dials? I've seen at least 10 different TT DJ 36s at the AD the last time I visited them. When I bought mine, it was available after a few weeks of wait. SS is still quite difficult to get, especially the green dials, but TT should be piece of cake.

I got my first two tone dj36 by just walking in.
A champagne fluted dial.

Sold it after 6 months.

I'm on the list for either 36mm SS and Everose, chocolate dial or slate baton. Both on Jubilee with fluted bezel.
Also on list for SS, Jubilee, fluted and green dial, although I know this one is more popular.

I didn’t have much difficulty with a TT RG DJ36 Wimbledon dial. If I recall right 6 weeks of waiting.

Interesting. Everose slate/chocolate should be very easy to get, I've been offered them many times and both of them are still in stock if you walk-in. Maybe you should try a different AD. SS green is quite a difficult one to get.
