SS daytona on oysterflex

What are ppls thoughts on putting an oysterflex onto a SS daytona?

is it possible for AD to order an extra oysterflex strap if i provide them a serial number of a watch i own that comes on oysterflex?

any photos of this combo with the end links and without the endlinks added on?

Sorry, I fear the answer is a a clangorous, vociferous "NO!" to all three of your questions.

Myself and many others have done it. The tech at my AD measured me for it but they would not sell them to me since the watch didn’t come with it. Had to source them elsewhere. I’ve never had it on without the Smarty endlinks.

It looks ridiculous to me without the smarty ELs. It’s a good look.

It is definitely possible as I did the OF with end links for my DeepSea but not directly from the AD.
eBay can help you source the end links and I often see the OF bracelets on eBay and C24.
Examples of both 116500 SS colors with OF in this link.

Yeah, it's doable, as shown above. But...

Apart from sourcing the straps as Art mentioned, I would also have concern with the clasp...wouldn't that result in a mismatch of WG to SS? Also, as the Daytona OF series is the only OF to not offer the mini glide lock, well, it's just going to come down to luck of the draw as to where you're going to get a good fit. That is, if I'm understanding the project correctly.

I like many others have done this with my 116500. I sourced my OF straps from the AD but when doing so you have to provide a serial # for a watch that already comes with it.

As you stated, if you already own a watch that already comes on the OF straps (20mm lug width), then you can supply that serial # to them with the size and the AD can order the straps for you. (the part # you would want is 218-105-xx (where XX is your size, D, E ,F etc))

I would grab the 116520 end links from smarty end links to complete the look.

Both my SS on the OF straps (last year).

Looks beautiful. What about the clasp? Did you just transfer the clasp from your bracelet to the OF band?

Honestly I prefer them with their stainless steel bracelet, but I have nothing against mods.

I couldn't do it. The Oyster bracelet is too good.

Yes the clasp is a direct transfer. The OF strap connects to the easylink link so you still get the adjustment if required

Personally, as an owner of a DaytonaC I wouldn’t, but if I wanted to, probably would go for the rubberB offerings.

Kind of been answered already but I used the clasp from my bracelet, it has the same “fittings” as the PM Daytonas on OF including the Easylink. The Oysterflex halves come in different sizes that’s why it’s important to be measured. And yes they are pricy, I think it was $270 per side in ‘19, I think they’re $290 now.

They both look amazing. I would still have the white, but can't go wrong with either

What’s the main difference between the factory oysterflex bracelet and a Rubber B?

The Oysterflex has a metal blade inside. It holds the shape of the strap.
