Have had mine for 5 years. Only once in a Starbucks while waiting for my car to get serviced, did I have a man comment on it. He was a fellow watch guy so besides that I think an average joe wouldn't recognize it as a rolex. I have a weird relationship with my explorer, it's been perhaps my most versatile watch and one that I wear often but out of all the watches I own, it's the one I often wonder about letting go. I think that's more of a me thing and wishing it was a 37 or 38mm watch. I've tried the 36 and it's too small for me, think 37.5 would be ideal

I had a 39mm mk2, very nice watch, 39mm oyster case is perfect but I found it to be a very boring watch. I have now decided that like my watches to have multiple functions like rotating bezel, date, gmt. I also didn’t like the bezel, I think the OP 39 bezel would have suited it better, maybe not as masculine though.

Own a 214270.. def flys under the radar & also one of my favorite watches. To me the 39mm is perfect for this watch and it's just so well designed
